Mount RainierYelm is proud to serve as the central point for a large variety of activities and attractions. Within an hour's drive, you can be hiking in Mount Rainier National Park, bird watching at the Billy Frank Wildlife Refuge, or ziplining at Northwest Trek.
Mount Rainier National Park, is a summer and winter destination, known to have some of the best hiking trails, snowshoeing, and backcountry skiing in the state. Washington's highest peak is just a 45 minute drive away from downtown Yelm.

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park is an adventure park, with habitats of more than 40 animals. Northwest's premier wildlife park is less than 30 minutes from Yelm and  offers tram and walking tours, hiking trails, and ziplining.

The Billy Frank Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge is a protected delta where the Nisqually  River Combines with the Puget Sound, creating an estuary to support a variety of habitats, perfect for bird watching. The estuary is less than a 30 minute drive from Yelm.

Deschutes Falls Park- Reopened in 2017 as a day-use park after being closed for decades. The long-lost, hidden gem is home to a magnificent series of waterfalls in a gorge with green moss growing on the granite walls, carved by the persistence of the 57-mile-long Deschutes River. The park is a short 15-minute drive from downtown Yelm.

Tahoma Valley Golf Course- Is a full-length, 18-hole golf course in the heart of Yelm. The course is known for it's quick greens, firm fairways and spectacular views of Mount Rainier from every hole.

The Pioneer Farm Museum & Ohop Indian Village in Eatonville, takes you back to the 1880's to experience homesteading in Washington. Enjoy hands on tours with their pioneer farm tours, less than 30 minutes away from Yelm.

Yelm Cinemas- Sit back and enjoy the movies in the comfort of a recliner in one of the most comfortable movie theaters in the state.

Prairie Lanes is an 8-lane bowling alley in downtown Yelm. The bowling center offers leagues, recreational bowling, fundraisers and is a great place to host parties.
