The Finance Department serves as the primary advisor to the Mayor and City Council about financial matters and is responsible for development of the budget. We develop our budget by gathering community feedback to establish priorities based on our community's needs. The budget provides a unique opportunity to allow and encourage public review of City operations.
The Finance department is made up of the Finance Director, Senior Accountant, Accountant and the Utility Clerk. The department is responsible for revenue collection, distribution of funds, proper transaction recording, financial reporting, budget administration, debt management, investment of city funds and risk management.
