Museum
The Yelm Historical Museum, operated by the Yelm Prairie Historical Society, features revolving displays from Yelm's rich history.

Displays include artifacts from the time when the Yelm Prairie was managed by the Nisqually Tribe to early pioneer settlements at Fort Nisqually to the early 20th century period.

A buggy from the 1880's is currently displayed in an outdoor display area.

The Museum is staffed by volunteers from the Yelm Prairie Historical Society and is open from noon to 4 PM Wednesday through Saturday mid-March through mid-November and by appointment the rest of the year.

The Museum is located at 207 3rd Street SE  at the corner of 3rd Street SE and McKenzie Avenue SE and can be reached at 360-970-8036.

The Yelm Prairie Historical Society hosts a "Remembering the Past" meeting every third Wednesday of the month at the Museum and monthly business meetings on the third Tuesday of each month.  Both start at 7:00 PM and are held at the Museum.
