City Council
The Yelm City Council represent the needs and interests of the citizens of Yelm.  The seven-member Council establishes policy for the city, adopts the annual budget, and represents Yelm's interest on regional boards and commissions.

The Council meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM in the Council Chambers in the Yelm Public Safety Building, 206 McKenzie Street SE.  The public is invited to attend all meetings and each agenda has time at the beginning for public comments, questions, or concerns.  Meetings are streamed live on the internet, and past meetings may be viewed online.

The current Council agenda and past meeting minutes are posted in the City's document library.  The upcoming agenda is posted no later than the Friday before the meeting.

Councilmember Tad Stillwell
2014 – 2017 Term

Councilmember Stillwell was elected in 2015 to fill a partial term.  He owns an insurance brokerage and serves in the Army Reserve.

Serving his second term, Councilmember Wood owns a small business in Yelm and was elected as Mayor Pro Tem in 2016.

Joe DePinto
Position 6

    Councilmember Joe DePinto
2016 – 2019 Term

Elected for the first time in 2015 for the 2016-2019 term, Councilmember DePinto currently works as a Lobbyist at the Washington State Legislature.  In his free time, Joe enjoys playing poker, tennis, clam digging, karaoke, and gaming.  He is a strong believer in servant leadership and truly being a voice of the people.

Russ Hendrickson

   Council Member Russ Hendrickson
2014 – 2017 Term

Councilmember Hendrickson was appointed to the City Council to fill a vacant position in July 2006, and has been elected to the position twice since. Councilmember Hendrickson retired after a long career with Yelm Telephone Company.
